LEARN MORE

We want everyone to have access to high quality genetic analysis. We believe that it’s important to have a healthcare professional to guide you through the process, and we’re happy to match you with a clinician who can help you on your journey.

A clinician will make sure you know what you’re getting into before you start and ensure that you are in a position to give real, informed consent to the genetic screening. They will deliver your results once ready in the way that you’ve discussed and agreed, and help you understand what they mean. Finally, they will support you to use those results – along with other inputs such as family history, physical test results, symptoms and appearance – to live a healthier life.

We have built a network of respected healthcare professionals and genetic counsellors who are able to help you access our services and use them in the best possible way to suit your needs.

How it works

  1. Initial consultation

Meet with your clinician to discuss the process, understand the potential outcomes and give consent.

  2. Sample

Your clinician takes a saliva sample, following simple guidelines and using a kit we provide.

  3. Whole Genome Sequencing

Your DNA is sequenced, generating a ‘print out’ or code, in a series of letters, covering the equivalent of about 10 million pages of text.

  4. Analysis

We analyse the data and turn this into a clear and actionable report for your clinician. We use algorithms, cloud computing or big data analysis and our own proprietary bioinformatics processes. We make sure two different experts are involved in the process of deriving and finalising the results.

  5. Feedback and
    follow-ups

Your clinician takes you through your results and may make recommendations such as lifestyle changes, diet adjustments and follow up screenings.

  6. Reanalysis

With your consent, as and when new information about our genetic makeup comes to light your clinician can request reanalysis of your genome sequence or ask specific questions of the genome when the need arises.
